Originally conceived as a trattoria and lovingly run by the Samuelli family for many years, Meandro became a hotel over the course of time. It has gradually turned into a symbol of Gargnano, because every visitor who enjoys the magnificent view of the hotel will remember this place forever.
Under new management, Meandro carries on the values and traditions of the Samuelli family.
The illustrious Italian poet and writer Gabriele D'Annunzio gave the name Meandro to the mule track that connected Gargnano to Riva del Garda. For him, it was the most beautiful road in Europe. Even today, this section is one of the most impressive parts of Western Garda and astounds with a unique natural backdrop of lemon groves and a stunning view of the lake.
