The excursion, on horseback, by mountain bike and trekking, lasts all day long. Starting point is the beautiful lemon-house situated in Piazzale Boldini, at Gagnano. The lemon garden, witness of a unique architecture, is an area where the cultivated citruses are protected by walls bounding three sides.

The front, looking south-east and exposed to the sun, is spaced out by spans made of stone which were used in order to make waterworks working through canalizations on the back of the cultivated field. Going along the state road you can find an old agroindustrial building: once called Garda lake Company. The first attempt of Garda agrarian associations has been documented for about a century and a half (until 1989) by the above mentioned building: the peasants addressed oil, laurel and lemons to the behind-border sells.

After passing the parish Church of S.Martino, here is Crocefisso. From here you can admire the typical landscape characterized by olive groves and vines. As you proceed towards Sasso (548mt in height), the lake landscape turns into a hilly one: olive groves and vines are gradually replaced by hornbeam, durnmast and chestnut.

Along the route it is moreover possible to find the "ajal", small lay-bies testifying the ancient wood economy: the coal was extracted from the firewood; and the so called "calchere", used to fire calcareous stones as well as to produce the lime employed by the building industry before it was afterwards replaced by the cement. On the way to Briano (900mt in height) it is possible to observe the cattle grazing and the traditional "slavas", small pool in which the cattle waters.

The mountain hide the trenches digged on rock during the First World War (1915-1918). All the above mentioned places keep the economic as well as the historic past ot the Garda area alive: it is a past telling about cattle-breeding and the production of cheese and butter.
